History of Branding

evolutionofbrand300x216s While discussing this topic, I found a fun video online that explores the evolution of some very famous brands. Credit goes to http://garmahis.com.

He took some famous logos and made a morphing video so that you can get a look how Apple, Adidas, Google, Mazda, Walmart, Adobe, Microsoft, Nokia logos have changed since their first logo appeared.
Did you know that Apple’s original logo was Isaac Newton under an apple tree? Or that Nokia’s original logo was a fish (a scary looking one at that)? Evolution of Brands
Enjoy this look at the origin of these famous logos and how they evolved over time.

I recently heard that Pepsi spend $1.4 Million updating the look of their logo. Not bad money for changing the style and colors on a beach ball. Must have been important!

Question. Do you have a brand? Does it need some updating? Does it give a clear and memorable message?
More importantly, if you don’t have a clear brand and logo, perhaps it is time to consider investing some time and money in this most important 1st impression. You may want to consider our 5 step process to discovering a memorable brand with “stickiness” for your online (or Offline) business model.

Branding Your Business

Branding at it's best

Branding at it's best

We are all familiar with Branding. Think… “Built Like A Rock”. It is a rare individual that does not see an image of a Chevy truck, yet it is never said outright. Why is that? Simple. An idea was developed, and all advertising and marketing were built around one idea. Because it was well thought out in the beginning, they have maintained this concept long enough that it is stuck in the minds of nearly every person that hears it.

Another great brand “Just Do It” evokes images of great athletic shoes, Tiger Woods and other renowned athletes. Nike took a concept and made it work on a global basis.

Maybe your goal is not to be world renowned or create a global business. However, every business needs to understand this concept at some level, in order to allow their niche market to understand WHO you are, WHAT you offer, and WHERE they may obtain your product.
Here is great video from some experts in the field that will get you started thinking about the branding process from Start Up Nation.
